STAK visibility

In a bid to increase STAK visibility and create awareness around the country, the Association, in conjunction with members, has come up with tear drops carrying both STAK and member companies logos, to be used in various events around the country.

Kenya launches National Seed Policy

The Ministry of Agriculture launched the National seed policy on Wednesday 19th July 2011 at KEPHIS headquarters. The policy will guide the seed production and trade in the country.

The Ministry also launched various drought resistant seed varieties to ensure food security.

Seed Trade Association of Kenya (STAK)

STAK was formed in December 1982 under the Societies Act Cap.108 of the Laws of Kenya, to represent interests of the seed sector and to promote the development of formal seed trade. The Association operated on voluntary basis until July 1999 when an independent Secretariat was set up to coordinate its activities in serving the interests of members.
